See this thought on sexual struggles

Not sure how to do the trackback thingy, but Cavman (see my blogroll) has a great post/point in his reflection on the Ted Haggard situation. He points out that the problem is that we assume that Haggard is in the minority of sexual strugglers. In fact, we all are sexual strugglers in one shape or another but we pretend that we are not. Go to his site and read what he has to say. Here’s the link:

I don’t know many detail surrounding Ted Haggard but I can tell you sexual temptation has been my hardest struggle. Going on 35 years. It had taken away my relationship wit God and has taken away my marriage. From taking the Setting Captives Free – Way of Purity Internet course, I believe sexual temptation is rampant among pastors and parishioners alike. It is hard to bring it up among church people because of the hypocrites reactions. This just drives it deeper and makes it worse. God Bless those that have helped me and have been supportive of my progress in Jesus. Only through God’s grace I have been free for two and a half months!

  2. Mark, thanks for your honesty and we pray for your continued fight for purity. Keep up the good work.
