Prayer found in Valley of Vision:
Every new duty calls for more grace than I possess, but not more than is found in thee, the divine treasury in whom all fulness dwells. To thee I repair for grace upon grace.

Here is a quote that is a favorite of one of my counseling profs at CIU. It is taken from John Eldridge’s book “Waking the Dead” – he (Eldridge that is) borrowed it from St Iraneus:
“The glory of God is man fully alive”
We began one of my classes at CIU (Human Development Issues in Counseling) with an unpacking of this quote. It sparked such an amazing time of plowing the depths of God’s character and His desire for complete healing and restoration of His people. For me, it captures the essence of the redemptive nature of Christian counseling and psychology – viz, all aspects of the person are included in God’s redemptive plan. Anyway, I love to share this quote with others because of the richness of the light it shines on God’s outrageous love for us.
Cathy, welcome to the blogosphere and blessings on your studies. Thanks for the quote.
