Just how will President-elect Obama pick his administration? I, for one, hope he has read Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book, “Team of Rivals” which is about Lincoln’s choices for his cabinet. He chose those running against him and other rivals to partner with him through a most difficult period of our history.
I would hope Obama would do likewise. You want to reach across aisles and unite? Do it in your cabinet. And if he asks, Republicans ought to accept and put the country ahead of their personal agendas.
